Description

This delicious chocolate banana protein smoothie is a perfect post-workout drink or a healthy snack.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 5 tablespoons chocolate protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon Dutch process cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup frozen banana
  • 1 tablespoon almond butter (or peanut butter)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • 8 ice cubes
  • Sweetener to taste (see note 1)

Instructions

  1. Remove the peel from the banana, slice into large coins, place in a plastic bag, and freeze.
  2. Combine all the ingredients into a high-powered blender.
  3. Blend until smooth and well incorporated. If needed, stir everything up and blend again.
  4. If you don’t have a high-powered blender, you may need an additional 1/4 cup milk.
  5. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
