Pomegranate Tequila Cocktail

Description

A refreshing cocktail combining pomegranate juice and tequila with a sweet and salty rim.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tbsp sprinkles
  • 1/2 tsp coarse salt (optional for sweet and salty flavour)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 160 ml chilled pomegranate juice
  • 120 ml fresh orange juice
  • 120 ml silver tequila
  • 60 ml triple sec
  • 30 ml fresh lime juice
  • ice
  • satsuma or tangerine slices
  • rosemary

Instructions

  1. Mix the sprinkles and salt together on a small plate.
  2. Drizzle the honey on a second plate and dip the rims of both glasses in the honey. Push the glass around so the rim is fully coated. Lift up the glasses and allow any excess honey to drip off.
  3. Dip the rims of the glasses in the sprinkles and turn the glass over so they’re the right way up again.
  4. Add 5-6 cubes of ice to each glass, then divide the pomegranate juice and orange juice between the two glasses (be careful when pouring, you don’t want to pour it on the sprinkles).
  5. Add the tequila, triple sec, lime juice and 6 ice cubes to a cocktail shaker. Place the lid on and shake for 20 seconds.
  6. Divide between the two glasses.
  7. Garnish the glasses with a satsuma slice and a sprig of rosemary.

  • This cocktail can be adjusted based on personal taste preferences.
