  • 23 tablespoons brown sugar, for brûlée topping

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon until smooth.
  2. Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
  3. Dip each slice of bread into the custard mixture, ensuring both sides are fully coated.
  4. Cook slices for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Sprinkle a thin, even layer of brown sugar on top of each slice. Use a kitchen torch to caramelize until crispy and golden.
  6. Serve immediately, topped with fresh berries or a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.
