Ingredients

- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups powdered sugar (for icing)
- 3–4 tbsp milk (whole recommended, for icing)
- Food coloring (optional, for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla until well combined.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a soft dough forms.
- Roll out dough on a floured surface to about ½ inch thick. Cut out hearts with a cookie cutter.
- Place on parchment-lined baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
- Let cool completely before decorating with icing.

- Feel free to use any food coloring to customize the icing.
