Description
A creamy and flavorful dip perfect for serving with crackers, cucumbers, or bruschetta.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces cream cheese, room temp
- 1/3 cup plain yogurt
- 3 tablespoons red onion, very finely diced, more for garnish
- 2 teaspoons lemon zest, more for garnish
- ⅓ cup dill, chopped (save some for garnish)
- 2 green onions, finely diced
- 8 ounces smoked salmon (lox), finely diced
- 1 teaspoon dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon capers, more for garnish
- fresh cracked black pepper to taste
- optional- lemon juice or salt to taste
Instructions
- Either bring the cream cheese to room temperature or microwave until just soft enough to mix (about 45 seconds).
- In a medium bowl, add the softened cream cheese, yogurt, chopped onions, lemon zest, chopped dill, green onions, diced salmon, Dijon mustard, capers, and a few generous twists of coarse black pepper. Mix until combined.
- Taste, and add lemon juice and salt to taste. Tip: I like testing this with what I am serving it with (cracker, cucumber, bruschetta).
- Scoop into a wide shallow bowl, finish with more capers, lemon zest, dill, and cracked pepper.
- Serve with veggie crudites, crackers, or bruschetta.
