Description

These delicious peppermint chocolate cookies are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk sugar with vegetable oil, eggs, peppermint extract, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Gradually stir dry mixture into wet until combined. Dough will be thick and sticky.
  4. Cover and chill dough for at least 3 hours or overnight.
  5. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls, roll in hands, then coat generously in powdered sugar.
  7. Place on prepared baking sheets 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake 10–12 minutes until crinkled on top but soft inside.
  9. Let cool 5 minutes on tray, then transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Serve warm or store for later in an airtight container.

  • For best results, chill the dough overnight.
