Description

Delicious jam thumbprint cookies that are buttery and sweet, filled with your favorite jam.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup your favorite jam (strawberry, raspberry, or apricot)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in egg yolk and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually mix in flour and salt until just combined, forming a soft dough.
  5. Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls; place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  6. Use your thumb or a small object to create an indent in each ball.
  7. Fill each indentation generously with jam.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until lightly golden around the edges.
  9. Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.
