Description

This grilled flank steak is marinated in a flavorful mixture, making it tender and delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lbs flank steak
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, honey, minced garlic, and black pepper until well combined.
  2. If desired, add chili flakes for extra heat.
  3. Place the flank steak in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Seal tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (overnight is best).
  4. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (400°F or 200°C).
  5. Remove the steak from the marinade and let excess liquid drip off. Grill each side for about 5-7 minutes for medium-rare doneness.
  6. Allow the steak to rest on a cutting board for at least 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.

Notes

  • For best results, marinate the steak overnight.
  • Adjust cooking time based on the thickness of the steak and your preferred doneness.
