Description

This one-pot spaghetti dish combines ground beef with vegetables and seasonings for a quick and hearty meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 (14 oz / 410 g) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz / 225 g) tomato sauce
  • 2 cups beef or chicken broth
  • 8 oz (225 g) spaghetti, broken in half
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
  • Optional toppings: chopped cilantro, sliced jalapeños, sour cream

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or pot over medium heat, brown the ground beef with onion and garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and broth. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in broken spaghetti and cover. Cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Sprinkle cheese on top, cover, and let melt for 2–3 minutes.
  6. Serve hot with optional toppings like cilantro, jalapeños, or sour cream.
