Description

Delicious cheesy taco tortilla bake with seasoned meat and fresh toppings.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas
  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or Mexican-blend cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup diced tomatoes
  • ¼ cup diced onions
  • ¼ cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Optional toppings: sour cream, salsa, chopped cilantro, avocado

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking sheet.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook ground meat until browned, then drain excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning with a splash of water, stir, and simmer 2–3 minutes until well coated.
  4. Place tortillas on the baking sheet. Spoon seasoned meat onto each tortilla.
  5. Sprinkle with cheddar, mozzarella, tomatoes, onions, and olives. Fold or roll tortillas as desired.
  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, until cheese is melted and edges are slightly crispy.
  7. Serve hot with sour cream, salsa, and other favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For a spicier dish, add jalapeños or hot sauce.
  • Can substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken.
