Description
A delicious and creamy dessert salad made with Snickers bars, apples, and whipped topping.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (3-ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix (see note 1)
- 1 cup whole milk (or 1% or 2%)
- 1 (8-ounce) container frozen whipped topping (like Cool Whip, fully thawed)
- 4 Granny Smith apples (diced)
- Club soda (if making ahead of time, optional)
- 5 full-sized Snickers candy bars (or similar chocolate-nougat-nut candy bar)
- Caramel sauce (optional topping)
- Toffee bits (optional topping)
Instructions
- Unwrap and dice the candy bars to bite-sized pieces. Set aside 1/3 cup of the diced Snickers bars (for topping later).
- Dice the apples (no need to peel). If making ahead of time, toss apples in club soda and pat dry to prevent browning.
- In a large bowl, briskly whisk together the vanilla pudding and milk until smooth and creamy.
- Use a spatula to fold in the thawed whipped topping until smooth and combined.
- Add the cut Snickers and apples to the bowl. Gently stir through and chill, covered tightly, for 30 minutes or until ready to serve.
- Gently stir again before serving.
- Smooth the top of the fluff, and if desired, garnish (right before serving) with reserved Snickers pieces, a sprinkle of crushed toffee, and a drizzle (3–4 tablespoons) of caramel sauce. Serve promptly.
Notes
- Note 1: The pudding mix adds creaminess and sweetness to the salad.
